An Owl inside the Oranges

Instructions - Part 5

19.Turn the piece over and apply glue to Glue Point A (shown highlighted in red).

20. Carefully stick the glue point over the corresponding glue point on the background piece. You will need to bend the owl's body up (as shown) so that you can check that the two glue points are aligned precisely.

21. If you have glued the owl in the correct position the bottom of the owl piece should line up with the fold in the oranges piece as circled above.

22. Check that the mechanism is working by pulling the owl's tail gently downwards, as shown. Both wings should sweep out from behind the body.

23. Push the owl back up (so that the wings are tucked in again) and apply some glue to Glue Point C (highlighted in red) at the bottom of the owl.

24. Then fold up the orange piece and press down where shown so that the glue point on the owl sticks to the reverse of the orange piece.

Your pop-up is now finished and should work as shown opposite!

Move you pointer from side to side over the arrow bar to see how the pop-up works!
You may have to wait a moment, while hidden images are loaded, before the arrow bar starts to work
